I apologise this entry being a touch later to arrive and being after Christmas I'd like to hope that it was a cheerful time for all. It's a brilliant time to get together with friends and family to disconnect and recharge in preparation for the New Year. However it can also be stressful with so much planning and things to do in the leading weeks and months.
Through the months of October and November I have been working with my first customer. The early bird offer has been removed and a revised early bird offer will be applicable in January.
In December I found some free time to work more on an update for studiocrafted. There's performance and accessibility improvements plus the revised early bird offer.
The main lesson learned through trialling studiocrafted as my freelance site was to focus on successes, and whilst I struggled in the first half of the year it's coming together now and for that I am thankful.
Going to number 1 on Google for local search was my highlight whilst getting recognition in online press for articles published to the accessibility community and of course the first customer!
Social media was new to me for studiocrafted in 2019 although I've had the domain studiocrafted since 2015. I've never done social media as a business so this was the new territory.
Looking back at the past decade I've had ups and downs with success and failures. It was exactly at this time in 2010 I had finished college and was working as a freelancer for the first time. Christmas was spent with friends eating pizza and playing lots of Guitar Hero.
My plans for 2020 with studiocrafted are to release updates to this site early into the year, work more on Big Hybrid in any spare time and grow my customer base. During the year I'll be looking forward to playing some golf and finding a new hobby.
2020 marks another decade of the century! I wish my friends local and further every success and happiness for the year ahead.
